<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overlap feed of a second sheet in case of conveying an uppermost sheet due to frictional force caused by pressing the uppermost sheet with a sensor lever in a sheet feeding device using air. SOLUTION: When an uppermost sheet S1 is sucked to the surface of a conveyor belt 39 by an air suction means 25 in order to convey the sheet S1, air pressure of a sheet suction part 35 is lowered. A pressing force release valve 45 is pulled upward through a duct 46 by this lowering of air pressure, and a sensor lever 41 integral with the valve 45 moves upward so as to release pressing force to the uppermost sheet S1. Frictional force between sheets caused by pressing force is thereby reduced to prevent overlap feed.</p> |
