PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accumulator piping structure for use in a cylinder-direct fuel injection system or other fuel injection systems, which establishes efficient pulsation absorption by optimizing the arrangement and structure of an accumulator and effectively attenuating pressure pulsations of fuel generated by a pump, typically a high-pressure pump. SOLUTION: A piping structure is designed for an accumulator 3, while focusing on the direction of pressure waves propagated through the fuel passages disposed among the accumulator 3, a high-pressure pump 2 and a common rail 4. The accumulator 3 disposed between the pump 2 and the common rail 4 by means of the fuel piping involves a diaphragm chamber 9 which receives therein a diaphragm 10. The diaphragm 10 is oriented in the direction opposite to the discharged direction of fuel from the pump 2. |
