PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the forming of a superprecise pattern having the degree of a specified pitch correctly by a method wherein black fabric, obtained by coloring a chemical fiber, such as polyester, nylon or the like so as to be black, is employed. SOLUTION: A black screen mesh 2 is formed of a black fabric 1, obtained by coloring the fiber of polyester, nylon or the like so as to be black. Light sensitive emulsion is applied on the black screen mesh 2 upon processing and a film 3, on which a pattern is formed, is contacted onto the mesh 2 closely to expose the picture in light. According to this method, all of the light, entered the light transmitting parts 2a of the black screen mesh 2 and abutted against the black fiber 1, can be absorbed while the light will not enter through the light non-transmitting parts 2b of the black screen mesh 2 whereby a complete screen plate, having no entanglement and the like, can be obtained. Accordingly, a superprecise pattern, having the degree of pitch of 30μm, can be formed correctly.
