The filling machine has a table which supports the sachet in an opened position with the open end fitting over the tongues. The contents of the sachet are supplied to the machine in rows which are divided into batches to fill one sachet. The batch is moved across by a feeder in line with the sachet. A pusher mechanism forces the articles in the sachet at the same time as opening the tongues by means of a roller and arm.
