<p>The anchorage bolt (18) fits inside a sleeve (34) and inserted into a specially shaped hole, so that when the bolt is tensioned at the top, members (28) are expanded to lock the entire assembly in the hole (14). The hole has an extended upper part, which then widens out (16) near the bottom to hold the expanding parts, then narrows down again to the first diameter to hold second nut (20) at the bottom. Under the lower nut is a washer (26) with spikes (24) projecting radially outwards to engage the sides of the hole. The bolt may be used for anchoring equipment onto concrete surfaces. The device is self locking, and special tools or accessories are not required.</p> |
