Injection moulding of miniature plastics components

Injection moulding of extremely small plastics shaped bodies, such as micro cogwheels for miniature pumps, one part (1) of the mould (1,2) is clamped to an adapter plate (3), and the other mould part (2) is placed over the first (1) without pressure. Both mould parts (1,2) are pressed together solely by the force (F) of the injection assembly (4) while the material is injected into the mould (1,2), as they are held together.
