Renovating and reconditioning an elastomer lining for an eccentric screw pump stator and process equipment

A process is claimed for renovating and reconditioning an eccentric screw pump stator(1) with a fixed sleeve(2) and an elastomer lining(3) around the pump chamber(4) and rotor. Removal of the worn elastomer lining(3) is effected by making a ring-shaped cut around the inside of the sleeve(2) in the axial direction of the stator so that virtually the whole lining is removed in one piece and only a thin layer is left on the sleeve wall. Process equipment comprises a holder(12) for the stator sleeve(2), a cutting tool(13) with a ring shaped cutting edge(17) and a guide for the holder and/or cutting tool so that the latter can be guided through the sleeve(2) and/or the sleeve guided by the tool.
