<p>A pharmaceutical composition for oral mucosal delivery comprises an active ingredient, an inclusion complex of (a) a selective β2-adrenergic agonist or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof such as salbutamol, and (b) an unsubstituted or substituted beta- or gamma-cyclodextrin, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier for oral mucosal delivery. The pharmaceutical composition is of use in the treatment of reversible obstructive airways diseases such as asthma.</p> |
