PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb and dissipate heat accumulated in a write head element by providing a heat sink with a very narrow fluid path on the write head element and causing the heat sink to collaborate with a small-size high speed air blower means which can overcome the static pressure of the former. SOLUTION: An enclosure 302 and a fan 304 with an impeller 306 arranged in the opening part 308 of the enclosure 302, are provided on a heat exchange element assembly 300. In addition, in the enclosure 302, a heat sink 312 is arranged which is equipped with plural highly air-resistant fins which are supported by a base member and arranged separately from each other in such a state that the fins are set in parallel and mutually in close proximity, and further have a fluid inflow and a fluid outflow face. The fins have a heat conductivity expressed by h=Nu k/De [h: heat conductivity; Nu : Nusselt number; k: the heat conductivity of fluid; De : the equivalent diameter of the fluid path defined by 4Ae /P (Ae : the cross section of the fluid path; P: the length of the wet edge of the fins)]. |
