<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grommet capable of applying a uniform force to the whole of a surrounding wall simply via a finger pressing force at one position, and consequently capable of being fitted to the through-hole of a panel without any local deformation. SOLUTION: A grommet has a surrounding wall 3 and a front end closed wall 2. Also, the grommet is made of elastic material for closing the through- hole Pa of a panel P by being forced into the through-hole Pa with the coupling groove 5 on the external surface of the surrounding wall 3 coupled to the internal periphery of the through-hole Pa under the deflection of the surrounding wall 3. Regarding the grommet so constructed, a recess 7 formed out of the surrounding wall 3 and the front end closed wall 2 is internally provided with a pressing rib 12, so as to disperse and distribute a pressing force to the surrounding wall 3, when the center part 13 of the rib 12 is pressed.</p> |
