The cable connector assembly includes a lower insulator (10) which is connected to an upper insulator (12) to form an insulator body (13). The insulator body has a cavity (22) between the lower insulator and the upper insulator. Two inlets (24, and 28) to the cavity of either end (26, and 30) of the insulator body are provided. An anvil (32) protrudes into the cavity from an inner surface of the lower insulator and a compressor (36) protrudes into the cavity from an opposite inner surface of the upper insulator. The compressor and the anvil are aligned relative to each other to provide opposing compressing surfaces. |
