<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip card reader where the insertion of a chip card is not prevented by the insertion of a foreign matter. SOLUTION: The chip card reader is provided with a frame 500. In the frame 500, a contact element to be in contact with the chip card contact of the chip card 2 is provided. The chip card 2 can be inserted into the reading position of the chip card reader. Therefore the chip card contact point is in contact with the contact element of the frame 500 and the chip card 2 is supported by a contact force receiving means 700 receiving contact force. The means 700 is linearly engaged with the side part of the chip card 2 on a side opposite to the side part of the chip card 2 carrying the chip card contact.</p> |
