<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method suitable for the consecutive photographing mode. SOLUTION: A video signal converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter 3 is stored in an image memory 4, a compression coder 5 codes image data read from the image memory 4 with a prescribed compression system and the result is recorded in a recorder 6. In this case, the image signal is transformed orthogonally, the coefficient of orthogonal transformation is quantized according to a prescribed parameter and the parameter is decided based on the image signal of a preceding image in the case of the compression coding.</p> |
