<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly calculate the diameter of a tape roll by detecting the position of each sensing lever at the times of the start and end of tape length measurement for every rotation of the roll and using the derived signal for correcting the derived value of tape length measurement. SOLUTION: Sensing lever signals derived from the positions of the sensing levers at the times of the start and end of measurement are supplied to a microprocessor 23 through an A/D converter 32. Next, the microprocessor 23 generates a properly corrected value on the output side. This corrected measured value is simply formed by the microprocessor 23 as follows: the number of rotation pulses of a capstan 4 corresponding to the overlength or underlength, which corresponds to the length of the tape wound around by the sensing lever, of the film carried by the capstan 4 is subtracted from or added to the count value.</p> |
