PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector for CATV by which indoor devices are surely protected from a surge component and whose installation work is simple. SOLUTION: A protector for CATV is provided with a base part 200 having a protect circuit that eliminates a surge component, superimposed on a signal given through an input connector 261 connecting to a CATV signal line drawn from an outdoor place and an output connector 260 connecting to an indoor device use line and provides an output to the output connector and with a cover 300 that is composed of a conductive material to cover the protection circuit in cooperation with the base part 200. In this case, the base part 200 is constituted of a conductive material a base section 230 which has a cover shape of a tea caddy and is in electrical and mechanical contact with the cover 300 at an outer circumferential face insulation material a coupling element 220 coupled with an inner circumference of the base section 230, and a base seat having a fixed element to mount the base section 230 onto a perpendicular plane. |
