PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an anvil cannot be adjusted when tissue is fastened between the anvil and a staple cartiridge by constituting an end effector by providing a pair of mutually occluding jaws, and forming a vertical slot to allow the passing of a knife blade in one jaw. SOLUTION: An endoscope straight line cutter 10 has a cylindrical shaft 12 extending from a frame 11 to grip this, and an end effector 13 is installed in its distant end part 14. The end effector 13 is connected to an actuator 15 containing a palm grip handle 16, a fastening trigger 17 and an ignition trigger 18 so as to be actuated, and has the first and the second jaws 19 and 22 in a mutually occluding mode. The first jaw 19 has a slender passage to house a staple cartiridge 25, and the cartridge 25 has a vertical slot 26 to allow the passage of a knife blade to cut off tissue fastened between rows of formed staples. The second jaw 22 functions as an anvil. |
