PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink compsn. for image display capable of displaying bright images with high resolution and an image display medium which is capable of displaying the bright images by using the same, is not deteriorated in spite of repetitive use, has a good property to retain the images and is able to display reversibly. SOLUTION: This ink compsn. for image display contains at least two kinds of different solvents and is prepd. by dispersing coloring particles of different colors in these respective solvents. The ink compsn. has the properties to separate the solvents to two phases each other and the coloring particles dispersed in the respective solvents have the affinity to the solvents. The one among these color particles functions as the particles for display and the other as the particles for concealing and the difference in the solubility parameter between two kinds of the solvent is preferably >=1.5(cal/cm<3> )<1/2> . Such ink compsn. is sealed between two sheets of sheet-like bases in which at least the display surfaces have transparency. The image displayed medium which executes the display and erasure of the images by applying energy to the one coloring ink, thereby moving the ink, is thus obtd. |
