Transmitting AC power in truck esp. fork lift truck with IC engine and electric drive motor

The method for transmitting power between an IC engine and at least one electric drive motor. The power delivered from the IC engine is converted in to an electric AC system and the three phase current is supplied to the drive motor. The IC engine drives an AC generator and the AC voltage produced by the generator is rectified into a DC voltage. The DC voltage is then converted by an inverter to an AC voltage. The inverter produces an AC voltage of variable frequency and/or amplitude. The AC current is then supplied to an asynchronous motor.
