Flexible ski for winter sports

The ski (1) is curved when relieved of load. The front end is sharply curved upward as usual and the whole of the bottom surface has a gentle concave curvature except for a slight reflex upward curvature at the rear end. The ski is of multilayer construction with a hard plastics bottom surface (8) with steel edges (7). There are side cheek pieces (9) on top of the steel edges. There are several plastics core layers (13'-13''') above the bottom surface. There are thin belt layers (12), inside the core of the ski. There is a top cover layer (10) which may be dished upwards in the region (4) of the ski binding.
