A system and method for providing compensated image data corresponding to a region of interest within a field of view of an object having a variable orientation is described. The system includes a plurality of image capture means located on the object for providing image data corresponding to the field of view and orientation measurement means for measuring an orientation of the object. Selection means are also provided for selecting an image data portion of the image data corresponding to the region of interest; and also compensating means for compensating the image data portion for the orientation of the object to provide the compensated image data.
