<p>A dental syringe (1) is disclosed wherein shutoff valves (30) control media flow to a discharge nozzle (3). The shutoff valves (30) are constructed with a groove (38) into which the valve retaining pin (24) is inserted for retention. All O-rings are retained below the surface of the syringe head. The syringe is constructed with a spindle (50) over which a plastic nozzle is constructed with a retaining groove (54) and retained with a snap ring (45). The threads of the handle and or the mating threads on the head are tapered to increase the force required to loosen the handle from the syringe head.</p> |
