A method for manufacturing a molded plastic part, including the steps of filling a multi-piece mold (41) with plastic material at a filling station (14) to a desired fill level, conveying the multi-piece mold from the filling station at a predetermined speed through an oven (21) to heat the plastic material to form a molded part, opening the multi-piece mold and removing the molded part and conveying the multi-piece mold back to the filling station.
