PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the double feed or the misfeed of paper sheets by giving control to the vertical movements of a hopper where the paper sheets are put in a stacked state so that the sheet of the highest position of the stacking is kept at the prescribed height. CONSTITUTION:A microswitch 19 is kept on while the height of stacked paper sheets 2 is kept at a prescribed level. The height of the sheets 2 is reduced as the feed action of the sheets 2 proceeds and accordingly the position of a roll 13 is also lowered at a pickup lever 16. A sensor lever 18 is also lowered in response to the movement of the roll 13. When the height of the sheets 2 is reduced down to a prescribed level, the switch 19 is turned off by the lever 18. Thus a motor 6 is driven and a hopper 1 moves up via an X link 3. The height of the sheets 2 increased up to a prescribed level with the rise of the hopper 1. Then the switch 19 is turned on to stop the drive of the motor 6. In such a way of control, the heighest position of the stacking of the sheets 2 is kept at a fixed level on the hopper 1. |
