PURPOSE:To use a bed even for whole-body photography without the need for an examinee's bed change by using a top plate assisting stand which is extensible in the body axis direction of an body to be examined. CONSTITUTION:The top plate assisting stand 6 engages a step part 5c provided at an end part of the top plate 5a of an ECT bed 5 to increase the length of the top plat 5a in the body axis direction of the object to be examined P. This assisting stand 6 and an upward/downward moving mechanism for the assisting top plate 6a in its support part 6b and is adjusted to the height of the top plate 5a of the ECT bed 5, and this stand 6 is easily moved through rollers 7. Consequently, when the whole body of the object P is photographed, the top plate assisting stand 6 is combined with the ECT bed 5 to increase the length of the top plate, making an under scan. Further, when ECT photography is carried out, the top plate assisting stand 6 is separated from the step part 5c and this bed is used as the ECT bed.
