The invention concerns a method for enabling control and/or payment stations, for example of a launderette, to obtain at all times and places data on the condition of the machines, to have remote means of operating and controlling like for instance opening a machine or interrupting a washing cycle. The same communication channel (13) is used for communication between the manager and the control and payment station (1), said communication consisting in routing general operating instructions and general instructions of delivery by the data station on the condition of the machines and communication between the manager and a person on site such as a client; the two communications capable of taking place simultaneously. The invention generally concerns the field of remote aid or maintenance of control stations and/or command stations and/or payment stations and more particularly control stations in self-service stores, particularly launderettes.
