PURPOSE:To always operate exactly a detecting switch by operating the detecting switch by utilizing a large movement of a moving member after a carriage reached a home position. CONSTITUTION:On a supporting plate 2, a detecting switch 33 is placed so that a vertical surface part 9c which is formed in the end part of a moving member 9 and its operating piece 33a are engaged. Also, this disk player is provided with a movement control member 34 for controlling a movement of a carriage 17, in a home position of the carriage 17, namely, at a still position before a musical performance, by abutting on the end part in the moving direction of the carriage 17. This movement control member 34 is formed as one body in a supporting plate. In such a way, a detection stop means for stopping the carriage 17 is constituted by detecting a fact that the carriage 17 reached the home position by the detecting switch 33, the movement control member 34, the moving member 9, and a coil spring 10.
