PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate battery residual capacity without changing the tendency of entire discharge characteristics even if diversified disturbances occur abruptly. SOLUTION: An amount of discharge Qn and an unloaded battery voltage Vn are obtained from the current and voltage of a battery that are measured within a time frame set with a proper interval, and preset reference discharge lines are fit with correction coefficients Kq and Kv so that they match the actually measured values Qn and Vn as much as possible. A discharge ending voltage Vend is read from a fit characteristic line 12 and a discharge capacity Qt is obtained, and a most recent amount of discharge Qna is subtracted from the discharge capacity Qt, thus estimating the residual capacity of the battery. |
