A shock absorbing cover for a saddle is made from a silicone elastopolymer covered with neoprene. At the back of the saddle the cover is held in place by a flap of an elastic material which goes over the cantle, while at the front four nylon straps with 'Velcro' (RTM) fastenings hold it in place on the saddle straps. The dimensions of the cover depend on the size of the saddle, but are generally 50 cm long by 30 wide and 1 - 2 cm thick, with straps measuring 25 cm long.
