PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change contents card information recorded in a recording medium like a visiting card which each user carries and uses. SOLUTION: A card information management server 2 rewrites preliminarily stored card information with the latest card information acquired from a host computer 1 through a public line network PSTN 4 to update it and retrieves card information, which is designated from a card information reader/writer 5, an electronic card device 6, or a telephone equipment 9, from stored card information through the PSTN 4 and transmits retrieved card information to the designation source. The card information reader/writer 5 rewrites contents of a set visiting card 7, and the electronic card device 6 rewrites contents of itself, and the telephone equipment 9 rewrites contents of the set visiting card 7.
