PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head which is excellent in mass-productivity and generates no glass crack. SOLUTION: An upper window width (a) of an upper window part 3 is made to be <=200μm, the ratio of the width (a) to length (b) of the upper window is made to be <=1/2 and the ratio of the upper window width (a) to a lower wire-wound window part width (c) is made to be <=1/2 in order to uniformly leave a first glass for joining in the vicinity of an apex at the time of joining gapped bars. Since a second molten glass 7 for molding does not flow into the lower wire-wound window part 5 owing to remaining the first glass in a glass mold after a track processing, the magnetic head having high quality, high accuracy and excellent mass-productivity can be obtained.
