PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a navigation apparatus by which information is not provided excessively and which can provide necessary information accurately by a method wherein, when a plurality of pieces of information to be provided exist, information whose order of priority is high is selected according to the preset order of priority. SOLUTION: On the basis of position information from a GPS antenna 11 and on the basis of map information from a CD-ROM changer 19, a navigation controller 17 retrieves a proper route up to a designated destination, and it performs a guidance operation by a display on a display 8 and by a voice output from a loudspeaker 6 for voice guidance. Then, when a plurality of pieces of information to be provided as voice information exist, information to be provided is selected according to the limit of priority RKLMT (the degree of the order of priority) which is decided according to a running state. When the provision of information is regulated according to the RKLMT, information which is not required to be considered according to the running state is removed from an object to be controlled, and the provision of information according to the order of priority is regulated efficiently and surely. |
