<p>A modular reclining chair (10) having an improved chair frame assembly (14) and improved pantograph linkage (30) is disclosed. The chair frame assembly (14) includes a hybrid front frame member (22) assembly having a plywood front frame board (44) and a pair of metal front frame brackets (46) for interconnecting a pair of side frame assemblies (18) to define a rigid box-like chair frame (14). The front frame member assembly (22) is further interconnected with the actuation mechanism (16) to provide an integrated chair frame assembly (14). The improved pantograph linkage (30) is adapted to be readily removable from a fully assembled chair (10) for facilitating field serviceability and repair without requiring partial or complete disassembly of the reclining chair (10).</p> |
