Trolleys (10) taking several containers (13) and extending across the platform mount rollers (18) for movement along the platform. They are fitted out on their top surface with rails (25) right across the platform. The rollers on the top of the trolleys ride along platform tracks (19) and the trolley rails comprise U-profiles (26) to take the container rollers (27). The trolleys form flats framed in turn by the trolley rails and the trolleys form panels to take two rows of containers. The vehicle, e.g. trailer, is fitted with stops (30) to prevent the containers rolling about crossways on their trolleys and the trailer itself takes two levels of containers with the aid of angle rails on the trailer sidewalls so that these can form a second track for the upper level etc trolley rollers. The trailer is equipped with a tow rope etc for moving the trolleys on the platform.
