PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer abbreviated dial and telephone directory data or the like to a large number of terminal equipments at once by correcting an error in transmission reception signals among the portable telephone terminal equipments. SOLUTION: Error correction code addition circuits 13-'' add an error correction code to abbreviation dial and telephone directory data or the like stored in a storage circuit 10, the resulting data are converted into infrared ray signal data by transmission circuits 14-'' and the data are sent from light emitting elements 15-1, 15-2. Moreover, an infrared ray signal from other portable telephone terminal equipments is received by light receiving elements 16-1, 16-2, converted into electric signals by infrared ray reception circuits 17-1, 17-2, reception signal error correction circuits 18-1, 18-2 detect a signal error and only when the signal is not in error, the signal is stored in the storage circuit 10. |
