GRINDSTONE WITH SEAT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A surface grinding apparatus comprising a plurality of grindstones attached via a mounting plate to a lap in such a manner that the working surfaces of the grindstones are in the same plane to rub an object to be ground. The grindstones are attached to a molded plastic seat serving as the mounting plate. The molded plastic seat includes channels for discharging a grinding liquid in its surface bonded to the grindstones, and mounting holes interconnected with at least one of the discharge channels. This structure facilitates the manufacture of the manufacture of the seat, improves productivity, and reduces the cost of manufacturing. Moreover, since the plastic seat is made disposable, the time of delivery can be shortened.
