<p>There is a waste treatment facility. The facility comprises a receptacle fashioned to receive and retain a liquid slurry of biodegradable waste products. The receptacle retains the liquid slurry. An open-cell foam is situated at the surface of the slurry exposed to the atmosphere. The foam provides an aerobic environment at the surface of the slurry for aerobic microorganisms to partially or substantially convert odorous biodegradable waste products and by-products to non-odorous ones.</p> |
