Shaft seal system for rotary setting flap in steam turbine overflow line

The shaft seal system (7) is used between the rotary setting shaft (5) and an opening in a housing wall (6) for sealing a radial gap (SR) of up to 1mm. A first seal (9) is provided on the inside of the housing wall with a second movable seal (13) on the outside of the housing wall acted on by an axial compensator (11). The first seal is associated with a suction or blocking steam channel (23) for detecting seal leakage.
