PURPOSE:To allow an unattended operation to be performed independently by first storing an error message generated during data processing in the second storage device and resuming the processing of data stored in the first storage device after initialization during the suspension of the processing. CONSTITUTION:It is interpreted whether or not print data has been entered from a host computer 100, and if the data has been entered, an entered data identifier is stored in a process order control table which is present in entered data memory. Then the entered data is stored in a large-capacity storage device 5, and the process order control table is searched through to find data to be processed. After this, the appropriate data is read from the large-capacity storage device 5 and the data that has thus been obtained is processed. In addition, it is interpreted whether or not error has occurred during data processing, and if error has occurred, an error message is stored in the large-capacity storage device 5. After the storage of the error message, the process is initialized for returning the operation to a start. On the other hand, a process completion message is stored in the large-capacity storage device 5 and the operation is returned to a start, if no error has occurred during data processing. |
