The improved electric system for a vehicle has each electric component connected to a supply line and to a return line. There is no general earth return through the chassis. The return feeds are collected at the battery terminal. The circuits are fitted with warning indicators to show where there are faults. The chassis potential is neutral. If is changes to positive or negative a short circuit warning light is operated.
