<p>PURPOSE:To provide a fieled emitting cathode having independent resistance area parts between a cathode electrode and each emitter cone, and capable of forming the emitter corn with uniform height and distance to a gate. CONSTITUTION:A cathode electrode 2 having a plurality of opening parts 6 is formed on a base 1. Ring resistance area parts 7 and emitter cones 5 in their center parts are formed in the opening parts 6 on the insulating base 1. An insulating layer 3 consisting of, for example, SiO2 is formed on the cathode electrode 2, and a gate electrode 4 is formed on the insulating layer 3.</p> |
