PURPOSE:To efficiently correct curvature of a rolled material through the installation of a relatively small-sized leveler mill by arranging plural work rolls zigzag and performing strong rolling rolls except final rolls, and then carrying out leveling between the final rolls. CONSTITUTION:Plural couples of upper and lower work rolls 11 and 12 are arranged zigzag. A backup roll 21 is provided for each couple of work rolls 11 and 12, and they are supported by a housing. In this leveler mill, a roll byte 31 is formed by a rolling device, provided to each housing, among couples of rolls except a final couple of rolls to perform strong rolling, and normal leveling is carried out between the final rolls to correct the curvature of a rolled material. Further, a correcting roll unit is provided on a mill exit side upon occasion to correct the widthwise curvature of the rolled material. This leveler mill performs >= about 90% strong rolling to obtain products of stable high quality. |
