PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rigid polyurethane foam which can be used in the industry without any problems by reacting a polyol component containing at least a specified amount of castor oil with a polyisocyanate component in the presence of water, a catalyst and optionally a blowing agent. SOLUTION: This invention provides a process for producing a rigid polyurethane foam by reacting a polyol component (A) with a polyisocyanate component (B) in the presence of water (C), at least one catalyst (D) and optionally at least one blowing agent (D), wherein component A is a mixture comprising an adduct (a) of a prim.-amino and/or sec.-amino diamine or polyamine (i) having an OH value of at least 500 and castor oil (ii) and/or a reaction product (b) of adduct (a) with castor oil (ii), and component B has an NCO content of 20-48wt.%. |
