摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and focal burner for synthesizing a fine glass particle by which the fine glass particle is efficiently formed and accumulated, and a base material excellent in productivity and high in synthesis rate is produced. SOLUTION: A fine glass particle is synthesized by this method and a focal burner used therefor. Namely, the groups 3 and 4 of gaseous oxygen injection ports are concentrically arranged outside a glass material injection port 1 in the center and formed at one or plural specified focal distances, and an annular gaseous hydrogen injection port 5 enclosing the plural gaseous oxygen injection ports is provided to the burner. The focal distances of the groups of gaseous oxygen injection ports are controlled in an appropriate range, and the fine glass particle is formed.</p>
