The elastic shaft coupling has a disc body at right angles to the axis of the shafts to be connected and comprising circumferentially extending elastic bending webs (1, 15). These have a uniform web thickness and which in cross-section have the path of their web centre line deviating from a circular shape concentric with the coupling axis. Relative movements between the entrainment sleeves (13) which are fixed on alternate sides can be directed unrestricted with varying form through bending deformations into the bending webs. Two individual or two groups of bending webs can be provided between each two entrainment sleeves. ADVANTAGE - The entrainment sleeves are completely' incorporated in the basic material of the disc body.
