PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the air bag device which can protect the base part of an air bag from gas high in temperature, and can also achieve both the cost reduction of an air bag module and its miniaturization by simplifying the air bag in structure. SOLUTION: A retainer 15 is provided with an upright wall 25 located close to the gas blow-out holes 16a of an inflator 16, and with an inclined part 24 which is lower in height than the lowermost part of each gas blow-out hole 16a in the vicinity of the gas blow-out holes 16a, and is gradually increased in inclination toward the inflator 16, and gas blown out of the gas blow-out holes 16a is hit against the upright wall 25 so as to allow a main flow of gas to be produced upward above the inflator 16, and simultaneously, a rebounded gas flow from the upright wall 25 is made deflected upward by means of the inclined part 24. |
