FOAMABLE THERMOPLASTIC RESIN SHEET AND PRODUCTION OF FOAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamable thermoplastic resin sheet subjected to false unidimensional foaming along its thickness direction to obtain foam reduced in the irregularity of thickness accuracy or weight accuracy and excellent in surface properties, and a method for producing foam. SOLUTION: A foamable thermoplastic resin sheet 1 is constituted so that foamable thermoplastic resin particles 2 are almost uniformly arranged in a planar state and integrally connected through a foamable thennoplastic resin membrane 3 and through-holes 4 are uniformly formed to the foamable thermoplastic resin membrane 3. Further, foam is produced by heating the foamable thermoplastic resin sheet 1 to the decomposition temp. of a foaming agent contained in the sheet 1 or higher to foam the same.
