<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the manufacturing efficiency of an intake/exhaust valve drive, and reduce its costs, diameter and size by reducing the number of component parts used therefor. SOLUTION: An intake/exhaust valve drive controller comprises a first and a second flange part 31 and 33 opposed to each other on a driving shaft 21 and a camshaft 22 as well, and an annular disk 38 disposed between both flange parts 31 and 33. The annular disk 38 is rotated on its center Y eccentrically to the shaft center X of the driving shaft 21 to vary the operated angle of an associated intake valve. The annular disk 38 is rotatably supported on the driving shaft 21 by means of a cam ring 44 arranged between it and the driving shaft 21, and is controlled in its eccentric rotational position by the torque of a drive mechanism transmitted to the cam ring 44 by means of a transmission member 42 and spur gears 45 and 48 constituting a transmission mechanism 41.</p> |
