PURPOSE:To protect the performance of a compressor from being degraded and save energy as well by driving a compressor cooling fan only when required. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 3 is provided with an on-timer which records a continuous operation time of a compressor 1 and an off-timer 5 which counts a continuous shut down time of the compressor. When driving the compressor 1, it is necessary to drive a fan motor 2 if an open air temperature detected by an open air temperature sensor 6 exceeds an operation requirement temperature. The operation requirement temperature is computed from a fuzzy inherence, using the continuous operation time and the continuous shut down operation time detected by the timers 4 and 5 as an input condition and set accordingly. The fuzzy control rule is set so that it may be a lower value as the continuous operation time is longer while it may be a higher value as the continuous shut down time is longer. This construction makes it possible to eliminate the waste of time when driving the fan motor 2 and save power and prevent the performance of the compressor from being degraded by operating the fan motor 2 only when required. |
