FIELD: plumbing fittings. SUBSTANCE: shut-off device includes body 1, shut-off adjusting unit, stem 7, ceramic sealing washer 10 and stop 6. Sealing washer 10 and body 1 are provided with mating taper surfaces with flexible sealing ring 13 laid between them. Sealing washer 10 is mounted for compression of sealing ring during motion till contact of taper surfaces of washer and body. Immovable ceramic disk 22 is fitted at guaranteed clearance relative to end surface of body and swivel ceramic member is made in form of two parts 16 and 17 interconnected by means of uprights: one part is engageable with immovable disk and is provided with port 20 and other part is engageable with sealing washer. Body is provided with lock nut 27 to exclude radial motion of stop 6. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 6 dwg øøø1
