AGENT FOR TREATING SOFTENED SILK KNITTING YARN, AND PROCESSING OF SOFTENED SILK KNITTING YARN, AND SOFTENED SILK KNITTING YARN AND ITS PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a softened silk knitting yarn capable of effectively preventing the generation of a defective product in a preparatory process (a repeating process, etc.), a method for producing a covered yarn and in a knitting process. SOLUTION: This method for processing a softened silk knitting yarn is carried out by a conventional method using a composition comprising the following components (1) and (2). (1) A composition contains an N-acylamino acid salt. (2) A composition contains a quaternary ammonium salt and an N- acylamino acid ester salt as essential components. The composition containing the quaternary ammonium salt and the N-acylamino acid ester salt has an excellent adsorbing ability to the softened silk knitting yarn to form an adsorbed layer. The action of the composition containing the N-acylamino acid salt on the absorbed layer accelerates the formation of a complex between both the compositions. The compositions especially act on the amorphous regions of the softened silk knitting yarn, and give a high persistence to the knitting failure-preventing ability by their synergistic effects.
